Evansville High School
The Evansville Community School District constructed a new 180,000 square foot high school and renovated their existing middle and elementary schools. The community, via a spring of 2000 referendum, approved the total project cost of $25.5 million.
Huffman Keel Partners was contracted to represent the school board and the district administration in the design, construction and opening of these facilities. The project was unique in that it incorporated alternative energy systems such as geothermal heating, photovoltaic and wind turbine electrical production. The project was completed in August 2002, with a surplus of funds that were used to finance additional renovations.
