Margaret C. Winston Madison Opera Center

In 2013, Madison Opera built and opened the Madison Opera Center. Located one block from Overture Center’s stage door, the Opera Center encompasses the company’s offices, rehearsal hall, and costume shop, serving as a site for rehearsals, previews, parties, and much more. Construction of the opera center involved a $1 million build-out of commercial condo space including:

Rehearsal Hall – 4,600 square feet of acoustically enhanced space, serving both rehearsal and performance functions.

Rehearsal Studio – a 650- square foot intimate rehearsal space.

Office Suite – Madison Opera’s offices, two meeting rooms, open workspace, and a music library, housing thousands of opera and classical recordings.

Costume Shop – a 1,000 square foot space including 3 fitting booths.
