Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery
Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) developed the public Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, which is part of UW–Madison; and the Morgridge Institute for Research, a private, nonprofit research institute dedicated to improving human health by accelerating scientific discovery to patient delivery. These twin institutes were constructed in the heart of the UW–Madison campus to serve as a hub for interdisciplinary research. This cutting-edge research facility employs several unique building systems such as geothermal and night flush mechanicals.
Huffman Keel Partners was retained to provide Owner Project Management services for the project. Project cost was approximately $210 million, and completion was in December 2010. The project achieved a LEED gold rating.
