An Upgraded Gathering Space For Madison Country Day

When students and staff return to the Madison Country Day School building after their summer break, they will be returning to newly renovated spaces. Huffman Keel was hired as the Owner Project Manager for MCDS’s interior renovation of the existing Learning Commons. Leading the charge for this fast paced renovation is Huffman Keel’s Development Manager, Clayton Nelson. This space is being repurposed to serve as a library and reading café for upper school students.

These renovations don’t stop there as they will extend to the main entrance into this portion of the school. This noteworthy upgrade includes a new reception desk, a cozy café niche with custom shelving and comfortable booth seating, as well as fresh carpeting, new paint, and brand new furniture.

Madison Country Day School is Dane County’s only independent, private Pre‑K‑12 school, offering a challenging and comprehensive college‑preparatory education, including the Madison area’s only International Baccalaureate program. We are excited to be a part of creating a space that will be used for learning, dreaming, creating, and community building. “MCDS is more than an education. We’re a community that makes space for every student to become their brightest, freest, fullest self.”
